Below is a video that was shared by a colleague at work today. It was originally shared on YouTube, so some of you may have seen this. I found this to be both very creative and thought-provoking, especially for those of us that work with adolescents. This is not one of the K-12 videos we are all working on, but a video showing keen insight on behalf of the teen herself. Maybe you had seen this before, but if not, take a few moments!

I haven't seen this before and I was so glad to see what the twist to this video was as I have seen the passion to make the world a better place even in students at the elementary level! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Geri! Somewhere else I read that it was submitted in a challenge contest for AARP, so can't verify that it was a school project...but the sentiment, and the creative twist, certainly made it memorable!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a clever video! This could and should be used with adolescents...particularly at the middle school level. We brought in a speaker this year who talked about global warming and how we had to worry about our future. Students were ready to create a science club to begin looking into the issues. They are ready for a vehicle that enables them to self reflect about their current situation and about their futures.
ReplyDeleteBeyond the video, this would be such a challenging activity for students to take a topc and create text that read one way would mean one thing, and read another, a completely different meaning. Something to consider..
